During a recent interview on the NYX Network, JT spoke openly about long-standing rumors involving his past, confirming that the situation people have speculated about did occur. Rather than deflecting, JT said he wanted to put the matter “on the floor” and address it directly.
“You know the down-low s*** with me, whatever y’all wanna say about it — yeah, that s*** happened,” JT said. “It’s already out there. You can’t deny it, you can’t hide from it.”
JT explained that the actions took place during one of the most difficult periods of his life. At the time, he said he was dealing with serious back injuries, including two slipped discs, which left him unable to work. At the same time, his son was hospitalized with cerebral palsy and required extensive medical care.
“I had a bad back, couldn’t work,” JT said. “My son was disabled, in the hospital for cerebral palsy, feeding tubes, all type of s***.”
According to JT, the combination of physical injury, financial strain, and lack of support pushed him into what he described as “survival mode.” He said his decisions were made solely to ensure his child had housing and stability.
“I did what I did,” he said. “I had to get my son a house and a roof over his head and make sure my son was good before anything.”
JT clarified that when he referenced “money with a n****,” he was referring to sleeping with men in exchange for money. He emphasized that this occurred only once and does not reflect his identity or ongoing behavior.
“That’s the only time I ever did something — money with a n****, anything with a n**** — period,” JT said. “That’s it. I only f*** b******.”
JT added that he has nothing to hide and said he would be willing to take a lie detector test to support his account. Throughout the interview, he repeatedly emphasized that his children come before everything else.
“I’m going to do what I have to do for my kids regardless,” JT said. “I don’t care if I have to give my life for my kids. My kids come first.”
He concluded by dismissing criticism from those who question his decisions, saying that people who have never faced similar desperation cannot fully understand the choices made under extreme circumstances.
“If a m*********** don’t understand that,” JT said, “then simply f*** you.”
