FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Twin brothers have been arrested and charged in connection with two separate fatal shootings in North Texas that authorities say occurred weeks apart last year.

Police allege Samuel Gbadebo and Solomon Gbadebo, both 20, were responsible for the deaths of a 19-year-old man at an apartment complex and a 20-year-old restaurant employee in November 2025.

The first deadly encounter unfolded Nov. 15, when officers responding to a report at a north Fort Worth apartment complex found Devan Randles, 19, dead from gunshot wounds. Surveillance video showed a white Nissan Altima entering the complex parking lot shortly before the shooting, according to court records.

Two weeks later, Isaiah Gonzales, 20, was shot and killed in the parking lot of Flips Patio Grill in early morning hours of Nov. 30. Security footage showed two people run up to Gonzales’ vehicle and fire multiple shots through the windshield.

Fort Worth police later linked the same Nissan Altima seen in the first shooting to the second scene, and investigators identified the brothers as suspects, officials said. Law enforcement traced the car to the brothers’ mother and matched clothing and shoe impressions to evidence left at the scenes.

Police executed a search warrant at the twins’ residence in December but did not initially find evidence directly tying them to the shootings. Samuel Gbadebo was briefly arrested following a police pursuit on unrelated charges before posting bail and being released. Officers continued to investigate, ultimately arresting both brothers this month and charging them with murder in connection with the November shootings.

A search warrant affidavit suggested that at least one of the alleged killings may have been retaliation for a 2021 robbery in which one of the victims allegedly forced the brothers to strip naked at gunpoint, according to a police document. Detectives reportedly found video footage of that earlier incident among the belongings of one of the victims and used facial recognition technology to identify the twins in the video.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether charges related to the earlier alleged robbery have been filed, and court records do not show an arrest of the victim in that case.

No attorney information for the Gbadebo brothers was immediately available. Prosecutors must still formally present evidence at upcoming court proceedings.
