Married lifestyle influencers Toby and Mikey Perryman-Payne — the couple behind the hugely popular @tobyshome account with over 616,000 followers — have opened up about a terrifying ordeal they went through while visiting West Hollywood in September 2024.
In a heartfelt video shared with their audience, Toby explained that what was supposed to be a fun night out turned into a nightmare. After dinner and drinks, both he and Mikey completely blacked out — only to wake up later in a strange place with no memory of what had happened.
Toby described waking up completely unclothed and confused, surrounded by people he didn’t recognise. He said the moment was frightening and disorienting, especially when he realised they had no idea how they got there.
Through sheer presence of mind, Toby says he managed to get out of the room and find Mikey, who was still unconscious. Together, they eventually made their way out, shaken but alive.
Since sharing their story, the couple says the experience still affects them — sometimes making social events and travel feel daunting. But despite the trauma, they told followers they’re determined to reclaim their power and not let what happened define them.
