Ohio Middle School Employee Indicted After Allegedly Recording 12-Year-Old Boy

Date:

A former Ohio middle school employee is facing felony charges after prosecutors say he recorded and shared a video involving a 12-year-old boy with disabilities.

According to authorities, 27-year-old Tyheed Miller worked as a behavior technician at Watt Middle School in Washington Township, Ohio, which is part of the Centerville City Schools district. Investigators allege that Miller recorded a 12-year-old boy who has autism and Down syndrome and later shared the video through Snapchat.

School officials reportedly became aware of the video and contacted the Centerville Police Department on April 20, 2026. An investigation was launched, ultimately leading to Miller’s arrest on May 22.

Centerville City Schools confirmed that Miller’s final day of employment was May 20, 2026. District officials have also barred him from all school properties.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office later secured an indictment charging Miller with felony counts of Endangering Children involving sexual matter and Illegal Use of a Minor. Prosecutors allege the charges stem from the recording and distribution of the video involving the student.

Miller is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $50,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for June 4, 2026.

The case has sparked concern throughout the community, particularly because the alleged victim is a young boy with developmental disabilities who relied on adults within the school system for support and supervision. Authorities have not announced whether additional charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

As with all criminal proceedings, Miller is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
