Marcus Freiberger, a 45-year-old yoga instructor from Phoenix, Arizona, has been missing since February 21, 2025, after planning to meet someone for a blind date. His sudden disappearance has left family, friends, and the local community deeply concerned.
Freiberger was last known to be heading to a parking garage near 2nd Avenue and Van Buren Street in downtown Phoenix for the date. It remains unclear whether he met the individual. His white 2021 GMC Sierra pickup truck, bearing Arizona license plate 3MA66L, is also missing.
A significant cause for alarm arose when Freiberger’s two-year-old dog, Thomas, was found alone in his apartment. Family members emphasize that Freiberger would never willingly leave his beloved pet unattended.
Freiberger had been teaching at Melrose Yoga for several months, quickly becoming a favorite among students. Studio owner Forrest Kruger praised him as an excellent instructor who drew many friends to his classes.
Despite previous struggles with drugs and financial issues, Freiberger had recently found stability and was thriving in his role at the yoga studio. His father, Dutch Freiberger, noted that his son had been on the right path, surrounded by friends, and had no reason to suddenly cut contact.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the case but currently has no evidence suggesting Freiberger is in imminent danger. Detectives continue to search for leads, and the community remains hopeful for his safe return.
Freiberger is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 225 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-534-2121.
