A recent livestream involving relatives and close friends of the late Michael Heard erupted into a heated confrontation as participants challenged Heard’s ex-husband over his public handling of the situation following Heard’s death.
The livestream — originally hosted by the ex-husband, identified as Aaron — was later condensed from a six-hour interview posted by creator Consciouztv. In the edited version, Heard’s daughter, Mykel Heard; his brother, Brandon Heard; his current husband, Monty; and his close friend, Jacobi, appeared together to address what they described as disrespectful actions by Aaron in the days after Heard’s passing.
According to the group, tensions escalated when Aaron posted a photo of himself kissing Michael Heard and spoke online as though he had been Heard’s sole partner, despite the pair being separated for eight to 10 years. He later shared a link to a GoFundMe campaign, prompting additional criticism and accusations of opportunism.
The most intense moment occurred when Brandon Heard confronted Aaron directly, stating that the two had never gotten along, even during the relationship between Aaron and Michael nearly a decade ago. Brandon accused Aaron of acting without consulting the family or current spouse and of presenting a misleading narrative about his connection to Heard.
Aaron said the livestream was intended to “do what was right,” but several participants argued that his decision to appear online first, without speaking to them, contributed to confusion and distrust. Despite some acknowledging the possibility of miscommunication, others described Aaron’s actions as disrespectful and harmful.
The dispute centers partly on the fact that Aaron still holds legal status as Michael Heard’s former husband, a point that family members say complicated the emotional fallout.
The livestream ended without resolution, leaving viewers divided over motive, accountability, and the handling of public grieving.
