Boosie Badazz’s 18-Year-Old Son Arrested on Armed Robbery, Battery and Drug Charges in Louisiana
The 18-year-old son of Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz is facing multiple felony allegations following his arrest in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, including armed robbery, aggravated battery and drug-related offenses.
Ivy Ray Hatch, the son of rapper Torrence Hatch, better known as Boosie Badazz, was taken into custody Thursday, Oct. 22, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that Hatch was arrested on charges including armed robbery, aggravated second-degree battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in connection with drugs. TMZ also reported a charge of possession with intent to distribute drugs.
According to WBRZ, investigators said the arrest followed a complaint from a victim who reported being physically assaulted and robbed by Hatch and a juvenile.
The juvenile was also arrested and transported to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. Investigators indicated that additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Hatch was released from the Livingston Parish Jail the same night after posting a $275,500 bond.
The arrest has drawn attention because of Hatch’s connection to his famous father, who has built a successful career in Southern hip-hop and remains one of Baton Rouge’s most recognizable entertainers.
Boosie, who has frequently shared moments involving his children on social media, reportedly declined to comment when contacted by TMZ about his son’s arrest.
The rapper has been in New York City promoting his latest business venture, the Boosie Network, an entertainment platform he has described as a competitor to major streaming services.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed all the circumstances surrounding the alleged robbery, including the extent of the victim’s injuries or the specific role each suspect is accused of playing.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details could emerge as the case moves through the court system.
Hatch is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
