Iowa Man Arrested for Flashing Drivers on Interstate, Says He “Needed Excitement”

Date:

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — A 30-year-old Iowa man has been arrested after deputies say he exposed himself to drivers on major interstates two days in a row. Danan Ary is facing two counts of indecent exposure following the incidents, according to court documents.

The first report came on October 14 around 7:30 a.m. along Interstate 80 near Oxford. The following afternoon, a second driver reported a similar encounter on Interstate 380 near North Liberty. In both cases, Ary was allegedly seen standing behind his vehicle and flashing his genitals at passing cars.

Deputies later questioned Ary, who reportedly admitted to the behavior. He told investigators he was trying to fulfill some “excitement” missing from what he described as his “blah” life.

Ary remains in custody and is expected to appear in court. Officials say incidents like these pose both safety concerns for drivers and legal consequences for those involved.
