NAVARRE, Fla. (AP) — A 20-year-old Louisiana man was arrested after deputies say he exposed himself to a fast-food employee while standing on a restaurant counter in Florida’s Panhandle.
Governor Dane Maurer, of Thibodaux, Louisiana, faces misdemeanor charges of indecent exposure and disorderly intoxication in connection with the incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. at a Culver’s restaurant on Navarre Parkway, according to a Santa Rosa County arrest report.
Deputies said a group of young men entered the restaurant appearing intoxicated and began acting disorderly, including climbing on seating inside the business. The group was warned by management to stop or leave, authorities said.
According to the report, Maurer and another man later approached the counter, climbed onto it and began yelling and making noises. Investigators said Maurer then pulled down his shorts, exposing his buttocks to a teenage female employee working behind the counter.
The incident was captured on surveillance video, which deputies said corroborated the manager’s account. The employee told authorities she was upset and wanted to press charges.
Maurer was taken into custody and later released from the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $2,000 bond, according to jail records.
