A Florida man is facing criminal charges after authorities say he robbed a meat market while completely naked, startling employees and customers.
Police said Kobe Latrey Watkins, 25, of Lake City, entered BJ’s Meat Market unclothed and demanded money from the register. Employees reported that Watkins acted aggressively, prompting staff to comply before he fled the store.
Officers responded to the scene and later located Watkins nearby, taking him into custody without incident. No injuries were reported, police said.
Authorities have not said whether a weapon was used during the robbery. Watkins was booked on robbery-related charges, and additional charges may be considered as the investigation continues.
Police have not released details about a possible motive or whether drugs, alcohol or a mental health episode may have played a role.
The case remains under investigation.
