A Virginia pastor is facing multiple criminal charges after Pennsylvania State Police alleged he sent sexually explicit images to a teenage boy he met while preaching at a church service.
Kenneth Baldwin, an Alexandria resident and senior pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church in Bailey’s Crossroads, was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent exposure and open lewdness following an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
According to investigators, Baldwin met the boy in November 2024 after delivering a sermon at a church in Pennsylvania. Police said the victim was 15 years old at the time and exchanged phone numbers with Baldwin following the service. Authorities allege Baldwin later began sending sexually explicit images of himself to the teen multiple times each week over the course of about a year before sending additional images in recent weeks.
State police said Baldwin admitted during an interview with investigators that he exposed himself to the teen on three separate occasions in three different states. Investigators also allege he acknowledged sending nude photographs of himself to the victim.
Police believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information or who may have had similar contact with Baldwin to come forward as the investigation continues.
Following Baldwin’s arrest, several churches and Christian organizations announced they were distancing themselves from him and removing him from ministry-related roles while the case proceeds. Crossroads Baptist Church also released a public statement addressing the allegations.
Court records detailing Baldwin’s plea were not immediately available. Attempts by multiple news organizations to obtain comment from Baldwin were unsuccessful.
The charges remain allegations, and Baldwin is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
